Terms of use

Keep your sign-in to yourself and the details on your account accurate. Coaches are responsible for the students they add to a roster, and tournament directors for what they publish about their tournament.

Student accounts are for competitors; a student under 13 cannot make one. You can close your account at any time by writing to support@mispeechhub.com.

Tournament results, including competitors’ names, schools and placements, are published as they always have been at Michigan tournaments. Closing an account does not remove a placement from the record, though the name can be anonymised. See the privacy page for how to ask for a correction.

Don’t use MiSpeechHub to harass anybody, to pretend to be somebody else, to collect people’s names or details in bulk, or to get into anything your account was not given. Don’t tamper with a ballot or a result that is not yours to change. We may close an account that does.

Anything you upload or write (a ballot, a critique, a roster, a tournament page, a photo) stays yours. You give Michigan Speech Coaches, Inc. permission to store it and show it to the people it is meant for, so the site can do its job. Only add what you have the right to share.

MiSpeechHub tournament alerts are text messages about the day of a tournament you are part of: a round being posted, a room change, a schedule delay, or a note from the tournament director. They are sent only to people who opt in, by ticking the texting box in their account preferences or on a volunteer sign-up. Opting in is never a condition of using the site.

Message frequency varies: usually none, and a handful on a tournament day. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop them all; you will get one message confirming it. Reply START to turn them back on, or HELP for help. For anything else, write to support@mispeechhub.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your phone number and your consent to receive texts are never shared with anybody for their marketing; the privacy page has the details.

We work hard to keep MiSpeechHub accurate and running, but it is provided as it is. A tournament’s own director and tab room have the final word on its results, and Michigan Speech Coaches, Inc. is not liable for losses that come from the site being unavailable or wrong.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. They are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
