Notes on this record

The folder holds tabulation ledgers, results lists and a sweepstakes standings sheet.

No dated sheet survives in this folder, so the day shown is an assumption: the first Friday in May. The meet ran two preliminary rounds rather than four and is shown as a single day. The sweepstakes standings sheet prints only a place, a school and a total - the split between participation and points is on worksheet pages that were not transcribed - and lists each class's top ten. Multiple Interpretation is the faintest page: its codes, titles, schools, subtotals and places are recorded, but the whole right half of the sheet is past reading, so no elimination ballots survive for it. Radio broke eleven rather than twelve because two of its twenty-four numbers were never entered. Four school names on this ledger are best readings that could not be expanded and are published as written.
